#Ride4Riaan 2026
From One to More
Help Us Deliver This Groundbreaking Gene Therapy to More Children
Earlier this year, Riaan became the first child in the world to receive an experimental gene therapy for Cockayne syndrome: a milestone made possible through years of research, perseverance, and support from people around the world. Now, we enter a new chapter: helping cover the clinical trial costs required to bring the actual drug - sitting in a freezer - to more children.
To mark that next step, on August 22, 2026, cyclist Winty Singh will take on the 75-mile Lauf Gravel Worlds race in Lincoln, Nebraska: a completely new cycling discipline and a challenge far outside his comfort zone.
Through #Ride4Riaan 2026, Winty aims to raise $10,000 to help make treatment possible for more families affected by Cockayne syndrome.
Every mile, and every dollar raised has a purpose. Thank you for riding with us, and for helping our community keep hope alive.
